theres something about the rain

ahhhh There is something about the rain that makes absolutely eberything great. im sitting in a cafe holding my traveling purse in my lap listeneing to-if youre going to san fransisco the remix lol- andim sweating a bit due to the humidity and the rush of walking alone and avoiding smiling and eye contact. lol its nice to be able to smile at the computer and not have it wink back at me. lol anyways LIFE IS WONDERFUL HERE. I DONT THINK YOU BELIEVE ME, BUT I GUARANTEE IT.

I met mi familia, which turns out is just a ma ma a.k.a. mi senora but she does have a 24 year old daughter who is on vacation in the states for one month-she will be back.....however until she gets back i have my own bathroom!!!! and i can flush my paper!! whoohoo...lol unless i use mucho mucho papel (mi madre held her hands up to show a great amount of paper and in which case would clog the toilet.)

so from the beginning i shared a cab with jill and was dropped off in the street next to a brown shade- kind of like a giant garage door with a little one next to it- so i knocked and this nice lady came out laughing cuz i didnt know how to use the doorbell..she then proceeded to kiss my cheeks and say ANNA?? lol i love her. shes so awesome. once in the door of the house theres an outside patio and then stairs to the real door. the house is very high class for mexico. i have my own room upstrais next to her daughters. it has two beds in it, a closet the size of a whole wall and i have a blacony. YES THATS RIGHT, A BALCONY! HEHE theres also one of those rooms (that no one ever touches or goes into) lol and then a tv room where she watches tv (alot) but its ok cuz im goignt o be out a lot. and the kitchen is nice and cozy. i get to wash my own clothes (i think) and we hang them to dry! hello world- SEE MY UNDERWEAR. lol anyways-we had broiled chicken and a salad con tomoates y cucumber. and tortillas and to drink- crystal light. lol it was good. she could tell i was very nervous to speak and she said -tranquilo- alot. lol

anyways turns out theres a girl 4 casas down and her senora is my senoras friend. the girl is katie and shes from oregon. i like her a lot. we walked ith my senora to our school thats not too far away and im going to be able to walk there todos los dias! the school is gorgeous with floras everywhere and its very nice. people selling jewelry everywhere and food. i like it a lot.

for my first day of school- i heard my senora knowkcing on my door at 7[40am and i freaked out cuz my alarm didnt go off!!!!! ahhhhhh for mi primera dia de escuela!! ay yaya...hehe but i was read on time. mi senora is a teacher for little kids at a private school and leaves earlier than me so she left me breakfast---frosted flakes, orange juice, papayas, cantelope, a crisont....and she packed me a sandwhich for school.. shes sooo cute.

she was married and lived in the us for a while so she seaks perfect english but she refuses to use it on me unless i say -como se diece una palabra. shes so cool.

i met a lot of nice kids at my school today and we dont start classes until tomorrow. i have one class at night (4) in el centro de la ciudad. i should be fun.

im going to go running on the track at the hospital behind our house every morning and maybe join a yoga class at the gym on the calle (street) next to mine. today we had lunch with all the students and there senoras. there was a mariachi band and some dancing and a buffet. the food sometimes doesnt agree with my stomach but its no for long periods of times. lol anyways we had cactus for a part of our buffett and no me gusta!! ikkk it was like aloe vera. no me gusta. other than that the food is kind of american in our homes and no much variety when you go out to eat..

right now the rain in pelting down! i dont want to leave the cafe. im wearing my white shirt and my orange long skirt! ah.....

its alittle weird cuz i dont know what to do while shes watching tv and i dont know how to call the other kids in my program. mi senora thinksi i should get a mexicano boyfriend to show me around. lol i said i would be FINE with that. lol but until then im going to show myself around thank you very much.
